About Ndungiri
Ndungiri Comprehensive School is a historic institution with a proud legacy dating back to 1977. The school stands on land generously donated by the Ngwataniro Mutukanio Laro buying company, reflecting our community's deep commitment to education.
In its early years, learning took place in modest rooms repurposed from a former colonial settler's homestead. Despite these humble beginnings, the school welcomed many eager learners. Over time, it faced challenges including declining enrolment and limited infrastructure development.
A period of transformation
The introduction of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), and later the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), paved the way for major improvements. The former house was renovated into a modern administration block and classrooms were revamped to create a welcoming learning environment.
